More About Your Role

If you're a good fit for this position, you already know most of what this job entails. However, to be sure we're providing a complete picture, here are some details.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will become part of our Professional Services organization and the newly formed Cisco practice, a small but growing team. At any given time you can expect to be involved with multiple engagements and projects, from one-day system "health checks" to complete cutovers lasting several months. You may handle smaller engagements as an individual contributor or you may be part of a team; in some cases you will be the single thinkASG team member at the customer's site. However, you always will be backed by our solid team: the average thinkASG professional has spent 15 years at the front lines of the IT industry.

We are a consultative integrator, recommending solutions (not necessarily products), and we'll look to you to develop specific, targeted solutions. Your activities will include:
  • Developing network designs from high-level architecture to specific end-to-end component interconnectivity and configuration.
  • Conducting and participating in design reviews.
  • Interpreting network diagrams and documentation.
  • Acting as design authority on a broad range of datacomms, technologies, and protocols, including transmission, WAN, LAN, security, and wireless.

Keys to Success

This is very much a customer-facing role, and you'll interact with senior executives at client sites on a regular basis. You'll need to understand your clients' overall business goals and objectives and how the network fits into that big picture. You also will need to be articulate and able to translate technical information into language that is accessible to non-technical users, whether face-to-face or in formal presentations.

If this sounds like the right mix of challenge and opportunity for you, and you meet the minimum qualifications, we want to hear from you!
